What Happens at a Free Design Consultation in Lake Geneva

A design consultation can sound like a sales pitch. At Bella Tile & Stone, it is simply a conversation about your project, held in a showroom full of tile, with people who know it well. Here is what to expect, what to bring and how to get the most out of it.

What a consultation is

It is complimentary design guidance from our Lake Geneva team. You tell us about your space and what you hope to do with it, and we help you explore tile and stone options that fit. There is no charge for the consultation, and you do not need to know exactly what you want when you arrive.

Step by step

1. Book a time. Use the consultation form to share a few details about your project. Booking ahead lets us set aside time for you.
2. Tell us about the project. Which rooms are you working on? Is it a remodel or a new build? What is your timeline? What look are you after?
3. Walk the showroom. We show you tile and stone that suits your project and point out options you may not have considered.
4. Pull samples together. We gather samples so you can see how tile, grout, trim and other materials work together.
5. Take samples home. See them in your own light, next to your own cabinets and paint, before you decide.
6. Plan next steps. We talk through quantities, layout ideas and what comes after you choose.

What to bring

The more we can see, the better we can help. Useful things to bring:

• Photos of your space, or floor plans and measurements
• Samples or photos of cabinets, countertops, flooring and paint colors
• Photos of rooms you love, from magazines, websites or social media
• A rough budget and timeline
• Any questions, concerns or deal-breakers

Do not worry if your collection is messy. A phone full of screenshots is a perfectly good starting point.

Questions we like to hear

• Which tile is right for a shower floor, and which is not?
• How do I mix patterns without overwhelming the room?
• What will this cost, and where can I save?
• Can I use the same tile in two rooms?
• What should I ask my installer?
